YMCA Camp Pendalouan

Montague, MI 49437
Bruce has a history with Camp Pendalouan, having camped there as a child and worked on staff as Waterfront Director in the 1970's. Returning in 2004 as the executive director, he brings over 20 years of experience in camping, business and financial management. Bruce lives at camp part-time in the summer and otherwise lives in Grand Haven with his wife, Margaret, and two daughters, Katie and Gretchen. Margaret is a licensed professional counselor/consultant and is a great staff resource.
Mark was a Pendalouan camper, counselor, Summer Camp Program Director, was Camp’s first professional Alumni & Development Director and returns to Pendy after spending nearly two years in Chicago at the West Cook YMCA in Oak Park, IL as their Financial Development Director. Mark is joining us in this capacity as we look to fill the permanent position. This position oversees the On Site Director and a seasonal Summer Camp Director, as well coordinates Pendalouan’s marketing and fundraising efforts.
Lori is a warm and familiar face at Camp Pendalouan, having worked on staff for over twenty years. Her leadership with Outdoor Education has established a solid link with schools in the area, and she currently heads up the weekend rental programs for camp as well. Excellence is one of Lori's goals in programming at Camp Pendalouan and she makes sure things are done well. She lives at camp with her husband Dan, and two children, Kate and Kevin.
Dan is part of Lori’s team and his background in camp programming makes him an ideal Food Service and Housekeeping director. His talents and abilities to provide a variety of kid-friendly meals prove he’s more than up to the daily challenges in the kitchen. His understanding about the importance of health and safety in an environment where most activity is outdoors, compliments the need to have a clean facility. Dan’s talents with leading groups provides a dual role where he may be seen leading a weekend group and/or the occasional campfire. His initiative and excellent standards make for a safe and clean setting for fun.
Melody has also worked at camp for many years, and brings a wealth of experience and competence to her many, varied tasks. Not only does she help with the registrations for all programs, the mailings and the phone calls, but she is the one that trouble shoots many problems for people when they need help.
