This is it.  Our final introductions before we officially kick off summer 2018!  This group of individuals make up our awesome Program Team.  From the waterfront to the barn, down to tent village and over to Nikana Lodge, the Program Team keeps camp running smoothly.  Meet Ellie, Christie, Becca, Bella, Patrick, Abby, Maeve and Tommy:

Hello Pendalouan Campers!  Ellie here, back for my 11th summer at Pendalouan! Though I’ve spent the last 4 years as a counselor, this year I’ll be stepping into a different role- your program director. This basically means that I will be the one making the schedules and talking in front of camp most of the time! Though I’ve had a countdown for camp going since approximately the second I drove off last summer, most of the year I live in Kentucky where I’m studying Speech Therapy and Spanish. In my free time I love to travel (in 2018 so far I’ve gone to Vietnam, Chile, Argentina, Italy, the Czech Republic, and England!), cook lots and lots of tasty food, and play with my beloved cat daughter. I can’t wait to see you all very soon for another wonderful summer of new friendships, lifelong memories, and the search for the perfect s’more.

Hey y’all! My name is Christie and I am from Northern Virginia. This will be my eleventh summer at Pendy and I am excited to begin my first summer as Waterfront Director! I absolutely love swimming and boating – my favorite of all would have to be canoeing! When not at camp I study Engineering Biomechanics at Virginia Tech and spend a lot of my time building things and working out tough math problems. I am most excited to come back to camp and hear the fun songs, meet new friends and eat some yummy tin foil dinners. I can’t wait to see you all this summer either down at the waterfront or out and about camp!

Hey there everyone! My name is Becca and this is going to be my third year returning to Pendalouan on staff wohoo! I am going into my senior year at Michigan State University (Go Green!)  and am studying Marketing. My favorite things include my chacos, my dog, ice cream and camp! I know i may have told some of you I wasn’t going to come back this summer but Big Blue was calling my name and I couldn’t say no.  This summer I will be on the Programming Team as a Marketing Intern and Assistant Program Director. I’m excited spend my summer with you all and cannot wait for session one to begin. See you soon!

Hello Pendy people! I’m Bella and I’m so excited to come back for my 8th year on Big Blue Lake. Although I’m no longer on counseling staff, I’ll be joining you this year as Health Officer! I love spending time at Michigan State University, where I study Neuroscience and Anthropology during the school year, but I can’t wait to spend another summer making foil dinners and singing Disney songs at the top of my lungs. See you all there!

Hello! My name is Patrick. I’m from Lansing, Michigan and I am currently a student at Central Michigan University majoring in Outdoor Recreation. This will be my second year working at Camp Pendalouan, and I’m very excited to be a part of staff again this year! A few things about me are I’m a guitar playing outdoor enthusiast, I love working outside and backpacking in the backcountry. I also enjoy being active and wide alert awake and enthusiastic about everything! I’m excited to work at camp this summer, meet new people, and make it the best summer ever for the second year in a row!

Hello friends! My name is Abby and I am thrilled to be returning for my second summer here at Camp Pendalouan. Last summer you may have seen me around as a counselor. However, this summer I will be joining the program team as the equestrian director and working with the Ropers and Wranglers. I was born in Illinois but raised in Texas since the age of six. Three years ago I moved back to the great city of Chicago and finished up high school. I am now currently attending Fordham University in New York City where I will be double majoring in english and art history. While it is absolutely crazy to be going from the busy city life to the shores of Big Blue I could not picture having it any other way. Even though last summer may have been my first, Camp Pendalouan has become a second home to me. Summer is just a few weeks away and I am already dreaming of campfires, watermats, s’mores, dance parties, tinfoil dinners, and more. I can’t wait to take on my new role as equestrian director and share my love of horses with tons of cool campers. See you soon!

Hi wonderful humans! I am Maeve and this is my first summer at camp! You can find me at the barn, I am the assistant barn director! I go to Northern Michigan University where I study Nursing. Up north in the UP, you can find me running, adventuring, hiking, climbing,
getting lost in the woods, and splashing in puddles. I am super excited to meet all of your smiling faces and helping you all learn how to ride horses! See you all soon! Summer 2018 is going to be a summer to remember!

Hey everyone! My name is Tommy and this summer is my tenth at Pendy! I am from Palatine, Illinois and I go to Harper College. My favorite things to do at camp are capture the flag, roasting marshmallows, and jumping in Big Blue Lake on a super hot day. When I’m not at camp I love playing hockey, watching Netflix, and eating Chicago style pizza. I’m super excited to get to know you all this summer! Hail Pendalouan!

Next stop, summer 2018!
